Is This Your First Semester?
That’s ok! We understand that there will be a learning curve and we can work with you. We are looking for open minded, enthusiastic, committed students for senator positions.
Expected Commitment
We understand that graduate student schedules are hectic, and as such, there is no strict requirement on how much time you spend per week fulfilling your responsibilities. However, we suggest a minimum average of 2 hours per week.
Interested in Joining VGSA?
Look out for a recruitment email at the beginning of each fall and spring semester!
Application Process
The application will not be long. Most questions will be brief, and there will be 2 short-answer questions at the end.
Even if you choose not to run as a senator, please be sure to vote if there is an election in your department! Details for voting should be available by the second week of school.
